Paper 3 Question 4: Evaluating the Validity of a Claim

A 15-mark IB Psychology Paper 3 guide for synthesising at least three sources into a balanced validity judgement.

Question 4 is a source-synthesis essay. Build an evidence map, start paragraphs with source findings, compare converging and diverging evidence, evaluate design and alternative explanations, and reach a calibrated conclusion about how far the claim is valid. Use at least three sources effectively rather than summarising them separately.
